The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority announced the signing of a lease agreement by the Kuwaiti Telecommunications Company STC for a plot of land with an area of 5,698.5 square meters, to build an administrative headquarters and a multi-story parking building in the Capital Governorate, Kuwait.
This contract is part of the implementation of Cabinet Decision No. 1274 of 2023 and the regulation "Compensation for the Use of State-Owned Real Estate Assigned to Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority and Service Fees," where an annual fee of 88.500 Kuwaiti Dinars per square meter has been set for plots allocated to licensed telecommunications companies.
The contract was signed by Mr. Abdullah Khaled Al-Ajmi, Acting Chairman of CITRA, and Mr. Moataz bin Abdullah Al-Durab, CEO of the Telecommunications Company STC in Kuwait. In this regard, Eng. Abdullah Khaled Al-Ajmi stated that this contract represents a strategic step reflecting the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors. It aims to enable STC to establish an administrative building that will enhance its services, which will positively impact the customer experience, with a total value exceeding 10 million Kuwaiti Dinars and a duration of 20 years.
