Mr. Eng. Abdullah Al-Ajmi, Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority, announced that the authority achieved record revenues exceeding 75 million Kuwaiti Dinars during the first half of the fiscal year 2024/2025. He explained that this achievement was the result of improved operational performance and increased revenue collection in vital areas, such as the licensing of landing stations, telecommunications company number range licenses, and revenues from leased international interconnection circuits.
Al-Ajmi further stated that the authority contributed to supporting the country's financial policies by transferring the collected revenues to the public treasury, with the total amount transferred since its establishment exceeding 505 million Kuwaiti Dinars.
Al-Ajmi also confirmed the authority’s commitment to developing the communications and information technology sector to foster digital transformation and support economic growth, with a focus on partnerships with the private sector and adopting global best practices.
