A Private Telecommunications Network is a communication network that serves a closed group of pre-defined users, and thus it differs from a Public Telecommunications Network, which provides its services to the general public regardless of their identities and locations.
The most prominent examples of the uses of this network are as mentioned below:
- Office Network [i.e. Gov. authorities / Corporations]
- Household Network [i.e. Wifi]
- Data Centers
- Critical Infrastructures Network [i.e.: Security Institutions/ Banks]
Note that it is not permissible for any person/entity, when establishing a Private Telecommunications Network, to rent, sell, or re-sell the telecommunication capabilities or the telecommunication services of the Private Telecommunications Network to the public without a prior approval and permission from the Authority.
