The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority in Kuwait issued a statement clarifying that internet services were affected yesterday due to a disruption in one of the seven international cables connecting Kuwait to the global internet network. CITRA​ confirmed that it is working with the affected company to repair the damaged cable and restore service as soon as possible. It also mentioned that it is investigating the company to ensure that necessary measures are taken in the future, including relying on alternative cables to prevent such incidents from recurring. CITRA assured that it continues to monitor the performance of telecom companies to ensure the highest quality of service for all users.
