Kuwait's information technology regulatory authority has signed a rental agreement with the local telecom firm STC for a new administrative building located in the center of Kuwait City, covering an area of 5,698.5 square meters.

The contract, valued at over KD 10 million, was signed by Abdullah Al-Ajmi, the acting chief of the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), and STC's CEO Mutaz Al-Tharab. This move aligns with a cabinet initiative aimed at attracting investment by encouraging private sector involvement in state development plans, according to a statement from the regulator.

The agreement was recognized as a significant step toward strengthening the national information technology sector, fostering further economic development and growth, the statement added.​
