Kuwait confirms the importance of artificial intelligence techniques in achieving the objectives of vision (New Kuwait 2035)

KUWAIT, Dec 19 (KUNA) - The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority of Kuwait confirmed the importance of adopting artificial intelligence and cloud computing techniques within government entities to contribute to the achievement of the vision’s objectives (New Kuwait 2035).


This came in a speech to the head of the Information Technology Sector at the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority Mohammed Al-Tura, during a workshop organized by the Authority on Wednesday on the acceleration of digitization within the governmental entities within the country in cooperation with (Microsoft - Kuwait).

Al-Tura said that digital transformation can be achieved only when governments abandon traditional processes and follow innovative ways of bringing people, data and processes into a single platform, pointing out that technology alone cannot change an entire model to overcome existing challenges.


He added: "Our mission in the Authority is to accelerate digital transformation as quickly as possible by undertaking such initiatives and activities that will reinforce our progress towards this goal." He explained that the workshop dealt with the best various practices and the use of artificial intelligence technologies supported by smart cloud to enable government entities to take decisions and strengthen government processes.

General Director Charles Nahhas of (Microsoft-Kuwait) stressed in his speech the need for government entities to continue to adopt cloud computing to be at the forefront by harnessing the power of technology to support the vision of (New Kuwait 2035) as the cornerstone of the overall government strategy.


In his speech, Nahas said it was interesting to see the digital transformation taking place in Kuwait as well as the synergy between government entities in adopting artificial intelligence and cloud computing to drive economic growth and improve citizen services.
